INSPIRATION

The colors of this collection are inspired by the incredible Mediterranean coasts.

The view of the Mediterranean is bathed by different shades of blue like the deep blue sea or the clear sky blue. In this collection, we want to convey the feeling of a summer day at a beach accompanied by a light breeze.

The blue represents the crystal water dancing under the warm Spanish sun. The silver symbolizes the sea foam of the waves gently crashing against the sand, creating little sparkly bubbles.

USE

The Balloon wine glass is designed for heavy, full-bodied red wines with high tannins, like Merlot, Bordeaux blends, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec.

Also, it can be used for any type of Gin&Tonic, such as Londo Dry Gin, Plymouth Gin, Genever or Dutch gin, Old Tom Gin, New American Gin.

DESCRIPTION

This wine glass has a particular large, almost balloon-shaped bowl. Thanks to its broad silhouette it helps the wine breath, it exposes the liquid to the air allowing it to oxidize and slightly changes its flavor for the better. The stem is strong and long, and it prevents the warmth of the drinker’s hand from interfering with the temperature of the wine. The capacity of this glass is of 21 oz, which offers plenty of room for the wine to spread out and maximize the oxygenation of it.

On the other hand, balloon glasses can be used for other drinks as well. In Spain they are typically used for Gin&Tonics, due that its shape helps to captivate the aromas of the gin and enhance its flavor. It also gives the gin a better taste and due to its broad bowl allows plenty of ice to be add in.  The balloon shaped bowl is said to stop ice for melting as quickly and dilute the gin.
